The Alternative Ban List for Elder Dragon Highlander games.

The purpose of this Ban List is to provide Local Game Stores, Tournament Coordinators, and players a painlessly quick and reliable alternative Ban List option they can adhere to. This not only provides the EDH community with the freedom to play the game the way they want to play it, but it also provides clarity, as well as streamlines “Rule 0” talks.

The Ban List is currently broken down into TWO subsections: A Competitive Ban List (cEDH), and a Casual Ban List (EDH). The cards on these Lists are not legal in their respective play setting without prior agreement from the Local Game Store, Tournament Coordinator, or other players in the game, and may assist in steering your playgroup to avoid other similar cards. In addition to the two Ban List subsections, there is a Watch List for cards considered to be “at risk” of making either Ban List.
